Beneficial Nematodes are microscopic soil-dwelling organisms that break down organic material, as well as controlling pests like weevils, aphids, fungus gnats, flies, and grubs. When added to a worm composter, they can help eliminate existing fruit fly, fungus gnat, and fly infestations.
Use 1 pouch per 5 gallons of material.
Place one pouch inside the worm bin with volume of 5 gallon or less and keep it moistby covering it with moist bedding. If using for potted plants, then place it on top of the soil and water it daily for 5-7 days. The Nematodes will be slowly released in approximately 5-7 days. You may reapply In 10–14-day intervals if the infestation persists.
The best way to avoid future infestations is to take preventative measures such as freezing the food scraps to kill off existing insect eggs and covering the worm food with fresh bedding every feeding.
